Vacation is when you can eat whatever and drink whatever you want?! That sounds about right! I have a couple of rules about vacation. Eat whatever you want– and don’t feel bad. Sleep whenever you want– and don’t feel bad. Try to workout– if you don’t work out, don’t feel bad. My goal when I vacation is to not feel bad and to let my hair down, because I deserve it! Right?!
I had every intention on running on the beach in the morning but to be honest the only thing I did in the morning was go downstair to the restaurant, order my mimosa or bloody mary and ate every fattening thing I could thinking of and then we sat on the beach and looked at some people that would pass us while they were doing their early morning workout! In a sense I feel like when I am on vacation it’s ok to work less, think less and to not workout because I do it every other day of my life!
Now, I have stresses that I don’t cheat myself by not eating that chocolate cake that I crave, but I just do it in moderation. When I got back home yesterday I knew 2 things needed to happened. I needed a great detox because let’s face it, I stayed at an all inclusive resort and drunk so much alcohol that if I don’t see another bottle of anything I will be ok. Honestly, I remember drinking water because I felt dehydrated but I drunk more diet soda and alcoholic beverages. Also I knew I needed to get in the gym! I honestly missed working out and I missed my gym, the gym that I am use to! As soon as I got home, I went to the grocery store because we had to food let alone produce and I bought everything for my green smoothies.
I stepped on the scale and I gained 4lbs! That was expected and to be honest I was pissed. Not pissed because I gained weight but pissed because my husband only gained 1lb!!! (really!) I went to the gym after work today and right now I feel great and like back to my old self. Anyway I am getting into the swing of things and thought this giveaway would be appropriate!
